Encuentros científicos de la cuenca del Maipo

We have arranged 4 Encuentros (Gatherings) in the Maipo river watershed, to talk about science and conservation and share eperiences of local people and environmental groups.
In each meeting we have scientific talks, posters and stands. The environmental organisations who have a stand can introduce their work briefly in the main session. We leave time for conversation. Since Auust 2026 we have decided to broaden the organising committee so we can carry out more activities. If you are a scientist that studies the nature of the Maipo watershed and are from outside of Chile, we would love to hear from you. Write to us at encuentrocuencamaipo@gmail.com

Ya organisamos 4 Encuentros científicos de la cuenca del Maipo en San José de Maipo, San Antonio, Talagante y de nuevo en San José de Maipo. Los Encuentros consisten en charlas científicas, posters, stands y presentaciones breves de las organisaciones locales que tienen stands- La idea es mezclar científicos con gente local y personas trabajando para el medio ambiente.
